As a food reviewer, my experience at Raj's was an absolute delight, characterized by a menu that sings the praises of India's rich culinary heritage. Their appetizers alone are worth the visit. I highly recommend the Chole Bhature, thick leavened fried bread served with flavorful chickpeas—an indulgent classic at just $12.99. The Chicken Samosa at $5.99 presents a perfect start with its golden, crispy exterior and savory filling.
For those who appreciate a fusion of flavors, the Chili Chicken at $12.99 is a delightful nod to Indian-Chinese cuisine, offering a robust taste that dances on your palate with every bite. Vegetarian diners will revel in the Malai Paneer Tikka, featuring skewered paneer cheese marinated in aromatic spices, making it a highlight at $14.99.
Moving on to the soups, each option is a warm embrace. The Curry Cauliflower Soup, infused with Indian herbs, is a must-try at just $5.50. And how can one resist the comforting warmth of Mulligatawny Soup? It's a splendid mix of pepper-spiced vegetables that invigorates and calms simultaneously.
As for the vegetarian selections, Raj's Indian Kitchen excels with dishes like Aloo Madras, where stir-fried potatoes radiate warmth through specially blended spices, priced at $12.99. If smoky flavors call to you, don’t miss the Baigan Bhurta—a smoky roasted eggplant delight that transports you straight to the rustic kitchens of India.

Excellent Indian food. Raj remembers everyone and is very kind. It feels like home whereas most food in Fidi fall into one of: "healthy" corporate lunch, overpriced "client dinner," or overpriced hipster (e.g., Kati rolls, $16 each for cheap street food).

It's a humble looking place however the hospitality and the food is fit for a Queen. Raj calls EVERYONE "boss " and treats them as such. Proportions are adequate and tasty. They offer sauces and dishes for you to try. It's not in my normal everyday route but it was a delight to go there by happenstance.

Found this place while in the financial district on a weekend. Ordered a combo with chicken dishes, a vegetarian main course, spiced tea and additional naan. The food is delicious and as close to authentic Indian food as possible in terms of taste. The portion sizes are generous. The service is amazing too. Thanks to those who found this place and posted reviews on Yelp!

The staff is very friendly .The space itself is clean You can see into the kitchen they are making the naan fresh . There is a lot of variety to choose from.

This place is bomb will be back. So flavorful and the price is rice. Getting free naan and rice for the lunch special is a nice touch. So many Indian places in NY but some of them are oddly bland. This place is not, it's awesome. I was pleasantly surprised and not expecting this for FiDi. Try the fried cauliflower. It feels like chicken and it's slightly spicy and tangy which I didn't expect but loved.

Delicious lunch find in Fidi. I've been craving Indian food and all of the spots that I used to go to have closed over the last few years. I came across this spot on Yelp. (Thanks to all who reviewed!) Heft portions. Really reasonably priced. Lunch combos range from $9-$12. The food was delicious and so filling! I got the curry lamb. Sweet tofu. And eggplant side. It came with a naan and a banana (random but appreciated). I'll def be adding this to my regular rotation. Check them out! They've been around for 2 years.

Really good lunch combo value for $12. Tried their combo #4 for lunch after reading reviews. (Note that their combo 4 says goat or fish, but a chicken dish is also an option. This place also treats tofu as a vegetable, which is nice.) Ended up getting: -Chicken Tikka Masala -Chili Tofu -Vegetable Korma -Naan -Small apple Good flavors overall, especially on the chili tofu. The flavors/spice on everything else were maybe a little muted. The bread was a little over done, but can't complain. They didn't overstuff the container with rice like other places. They were nice and even put sauce on their own on top of the rice. The meal also came with a really small apple. I think they'd be fine to lose the fruit if they had to do any cost-cutting. For the amount of food, I'd come back for sure. Hopefully the menu rotates a little bit. Everything else in the area outside of halal carts is $15+ for lunch.
